2010 - Breakaway

Breakaway is the 2010 FIRST Robotics Competition game. Two bumps extend across the width of the field and separate the field into three zones. Towers extend from the center of each bump, and a tunnel under each tower forms passageways through the zones. The objective of the game is to score standard soccer balls into goals at each side of the field. Balls can be scored in goals from anywhere on the field. Human players are tasked with taking the balls from the goals and re-entering them into the field. Near the end of the match, robots get points from climbing on the platform or hanging on the tower. Robots receive bonus points for assisting other robots to hang on the tower.
